馬塞爾·雅各

Marcel Karl Jacob（1964年1月30日－2009年7月21日）是一位瑞典音樂家，以身為硬式搖滾樂團 Talisman 的創始人、主要詞曲創作者及貝斯手而聞名。他也曾短暫地在 Europe 樂團以及與 Yngwie Malmsteen 合作。Jacob 也是一位技巧精湛的主音吉他手，偶爾會在他認為吉他手表現未達其標準的專輯中演奏吉他獨奏。

生平

1978年，Jacob 與吉他手 Yngwie Malmsteen 共同組建了 Rising Force 樂團。三年後，Jacob 加入了 Force 樂團（後來改名為 Europe），取代了 John Levén，而 John Levén 則接替了 Jacob 在 Rising Force 的位置。在 Force 樂團期間，Jacob 與主唱 Joey Tempest 共同創作了歌曲《Black Journey Through My Soul》。這首歌最終被收錄在 Europe 的第二張專輯《Wings of Tomorrow》中，並更名為《Scream of Anger》。在 Force 待了三個月後，Jacob 再次與 John Levén 交換位置，據說後者與 Malmsteen 有過節。1985年，Jacob 重返 Malmsteen 的樂團，參與了專輯《Marching Out》的錄製以及隨後的部分美國巡演。他於1985年11月因與 Yngwie 的管理層發生問題而離團，並於1986年與爵士搖滾樂團 Wasa Express 一同巡演。

1987年，Jacob 參與了 Europe 樂團吉他手 John Norum 的首張個人專輯《Total Control》的錄製。Jacob 還將他在 Yngwie 時期之前的樂團 Power 的試聽帶曲目重新用於該專輯中的幾首歌曲，包括瑞典的熱門單曲《Let Me Love You》。兩年後，他與主唱 Jeff Scott Soto 共同組建了 Talisman 樂團。多年來，Talisman 是 Jacob 的主要心血，該樂團直到2007年都持續發行錄音室及現場專輯。

1989年，Jacob 回到美國，參加了 Dio 的試音，並在 Jeff Scott Soto 的另一個樂團 Eyes 的首張專輯中演奏。

1992年，Jacob 與 Lion's Share 合作了一首歌曲《Nothing's Free》，該曲被收錄在一張比利時的合輯中。1993年，他擔任前 Candlemass 樂團主唱 Thomas Vikström 的個人專輯《If I Could Fly》的客座樂手。

Vikström 與 Jacob 曾和吉他手 Tommy Denander（曾與 Paul Stanley、Alice Cooper 合作）及鼓手 Jake Samuel（The Poodles 樂團）在翻唱樂團 Horny Strings 中一同演出，而 Vikström 也曾與 Saigon Kick 樂團的 Jason Bieler 一同擔任 Talisman 的巡演成員。後來 Vikström（Therion 樂團）接任了主唱角色。

同年，Jacob 在 Billionaires Boys Club 樂團的專輯《Something Wicked Comes》中擔任客座樂手，該樂團成員包括前 Accept 樂團吉他手 Jörg Fischer 以及 Jacob 在 Yngwie Malmsteen 樂團時期的前隊友 Mark Boals 和 Anders Johansson。

1994年，他在 The Johansson Brothers 的同名專輯中演奏。Jacob 組建的另一個樂團是 Human Clay，成員還有 Jeff Scott Soto。他們錄製了兩張專輯。1996年，Jacob 參與了 Yngwie J. Malmsteen 錄製的翻唱專輯《Inspiration》。

在2000年代初期，Jacob 在斯德哥爾摩大學修習了幾年心理學。

2005年，Jacob 與鼓手 Jamie Borger 及鍵盤手 Thomas Lassar 成為瑞典/德國硬式搖滾樂團 Last Autumn's Dream 的三位新成員，參與了其第二張錄音室專輯的製作。他們是為了取代參與 Europe 樂團重組而無法回歸的 John Levén、Ian Haugland 和 Mic Michaeli，這三位曾在樂團的首張專輯中演奏。Jacob 也與 Last Autumn's Dream 錄製了另外五張錄音室專輯，最新一張是於2009年1月26日發行的《Dreamcatcher》。

Jacob 最後一次的錄音作品是與瑞典錄音室樂團 Impulsia 合作，收錄在2009年9月24日由 Impulsia Music 及 Riverside Records 發行的專輯《Expressions》中。

據報導，Jacob 的出生名為 Marcus Jacobsson，但他在一次採訪中否認了這一點。

逝世

2009年7月21日，Jacob 被發現在其位於斯德哥爾摩 Kristineberg 的家中自殺身亡，享年45歲。Talisman 樂團主唱 Jeff Scott Soto 發表了以下聲明：「我與 Talisman 的其他成員深感遺憾與懊悔地宣布，我們的兄弟、長期合作的夥伴，也是我們合作過最偉大的音樂家，Marcel Jacob，已於今日，2009年7月21日星期二，離開了我們。Marcel 在與多年的個人及健康問題搏鬥後，選擇了結束自己的生命。」
