烏爾里希·布蘭德

烏爾里希·布蘭德（Ulrich Brand，1967年4月15日出生於邁瑙）是一位德國政治學家。自2007年9月起，他擔任維也納大學國際政治學教授。

生平

1989年，烏爾里希·布蘭德畢業於拉芬斯堡職業學院（Berufsakademie Ravensburg），取得企業管理文憑，主修旅遊學。1989年至1996年間，他在法蘭克福歌德大學、布宜諾斯艾利斯的貝爾格拉諾大學（Universidad de Belgrano）及布宜諾斯艾利斯大學（Universidad de Buenos Aires）學習政治學（副修經濟學），並同樣取得文憑。2000年，烏爾里希·布蘭德在歌德大學完成其政治學博士學位。2001年至2007年，他在卡塞爾大學擔任全球化與政治領域的助理教授。2006年，布蘭德憑藉其教授資格論文（Habilitation）（論文題為《全球化的政治形式。國際化國家中的社會力量與制度》）取得了大學講師資格。

研究

布蘭德的主要研究興趣在於自由全球化的危機與國家的國際化、（全球）社會生態學議題（如資源政治與綠色經濟）、批判性國家與治理研究，以及拉丁美洲。他的理論著作是關於批判性國家與霸權理論（安東尼奧·葛蘭西、尼科斯·普蘭查斯）、調節理論及政治生態學等學術討論的一部分。多年來，他致力於歷史唯物主義政策分析（HMPA），以結合不同形式的政策分析與唯物主義方法。自2018年起，他領導一項關於工會與社會生態轉型的研究計畫。

烏爾里希·布蘭德與馬庫斯·維森（Markus Wissen）提出了「帝國生活模式」（imperial mode of living）的概念。

此概念指涉一種主導性的生產、分配和消費模式，此模式深植於全球北方中上階級的日常實踐中，並日益擴及全球南方的興起中國家。此術語試圖解答全球北方的特定生活模式如何在引發多樣危機現象的同時，卻又在全球具有吸引力。

在「多重危機」的時代，帝國生活模式有助於確保全球北方的社會穩定。除了極端天氣事件外，這些危機的負面後果（尤其在生態方面）尚未明顯可見。與此同時，帝國生活模式為全球南方的許多社會提供了一種霸權導向。除此之外，布蘭德與維森也研究一種另類的「團結」生活模式的可能性，這種模式已出現於能源民主或糧食主權等抗爭中，並為根本的社會生態轉型鋪路。
