愛德華・狄龍（演員）

愛德華·狄龍（Edward Dillon，或1879年或1882年－1933年7月11日）是美國默片時代的演員、導演及編劇。

早年與私生活

狄龍於1872年、1873年、1879年或1882年出生於紐約市。他的兄弟 John T. Dillon 也是一名演員。他於1914年10月與 Franc Newman 結婚，並在1930年前的某個時間離婚。Newman 保留了夫姓狄龍。她出席了他1933年的葬禮，並在此後稱自己為寡婦而非離婚。

職業生涯

狄龍在百老匯的作品包括出演《Prince Otto》（1900年）、《Francesca da Rimini》（1901年）、《The Taming of the Shrew》（1905年）及《The Ranger》（1907年）。1908年，他離開舞台開始投身電影表演，在 Biograph 公司為 D. W. Griffith 工作。在1905年至1932年間，他演出了超過320部電影，並在1913年至1926年間執導了134部作品。他是 Mary Pickford 的第一位男主角，並在 Fay Tincher 成為明星的過程中扮演了關鍵角色。他被稱為 D. W. Griffith 的「王牌」導演。1915年，當一場大火燒毀他的家時，他被描述為 Komic Pictures 公司的導演。
