病毒 (鐵娘子樂團歌曲)
「Virus」是鐵娘子樂團於1996年發行的一支單曲。這是自1980年的「Women in Uniform」以來，第一支未收錄在任何鐵娘子樂團官方錄音室專輯中的單曲。然而，它作為一首全新曲目，被收錄在該樂團首張職業生涯回顧精選輯——1996年的雙碟專輯《Best of the Beast》中。這是鐵娘子樂團唯一一首同時署名樂團兩位吉他手為詞曲作者的歌曲。鐵娘子樂團從未現場表演過這首歌，但 Blaze Bayley 在他的單飛生涯中曾多次演唱。歌詞方面，這首歌警告在一個日益依賴網路的世界中，商業與政府腐敗問題日益嚴重。
背景
為了慶祝樂團成立21週年，這支單曲以三種不同格式發行。第一種格式包含一個省略了前奏的短版，並收錄了與1996年單曲「Lord of the Flies」相同的B面曲，其中包括了對 The Who 和 UFO 樂團歌曲的翻唱。這些曲目先前未曾在英國發行。第二種格式收錄了未經剪輯的完整版，以及來自1979年合輯《Metal for Muthas》的歌曲，這也是唯一有前吉他手 Tony Parsons 參與的錄音室作品。第三種格式收錄了兩首來自鐵娘子樂團傳奇性的1978年試聽帶錄音《The Soundhouse Tapes》的歌曲。
這支單曲是直到2015年的「Speed of Light」之前，最後一支使用樂團經典變體標誌的單曲：從1998年的「The Angel and the Gambler」到2010年的「El Dorado」期間發行的每一支單曲，都使用了一個移除了字母「R」、「M」及兩個「N」延伸筆劃的替代版本。
在純音樂搖滾樂團 Godspeed You! Black Emperor 的EP《Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada》中，曲目「BBF3」收錄了一段對名為 Blaise Bailey Finnegan III 的人物的隨機採訪，他在採訪中朗誦了一首由 Blaze Bayley 所寫的「Virus」歌詞改編而成的詩。
其前奏的重複樂段（riff）被來自布里斯托的三人組 Kosheen 用於他們2001年專輯《Resist》中的歌曲「I Want It All」。
