斯洛博丹·丘爾契奇

Slobodan Ćurčić（1940年12月19日生於南斯拉夫王國塞拉耶佛 – 2017年12月3日逝於希臘塞薩洛尼基）是一位美國藝術史學家與拜占庭學家。

生平

在貝爾格勒完成學業後，Ćurčić首先於伊利諾大學厄巴納-香檳分校主修建築學，並在1964年取得建築學學士學位，1965年取得建築學碩士學位。1975年，他師從理查·克勞塞麥（Richard Krautheimer），以一篇關於格拉查尼察修道院教堂的論文，自紐約大學美術學院取得藝術史博士學位。

1971年至1982年，他於伊利諾大學厄巴納-香檳分校建築系教授建築史。1982年至2010年退休為止，他於普林斯頓大學藝術與考古學系擔任早期基督教與拜占庭藝術教授。此外，他於2006年至2010年間擔任普林斯頓大學希臘研究計畫的主任。

他的主要研究領域為拜占庭建築，特別是拜占庭中期與晚期。2010年，他在其鉅著《巴爾幹建築：從戴克里先到蘇萊曼大帝》中，呈現了他的研究總結。

自1997年起，他成為塞爾維亞科學與藝術學院院士；自2004年起，成為雅典基督教考古學會的榮譽會員。2006年，他成為聯合國教科文組織（UNESCO）為保護科索沃文化財產而設立的「科索沃文化遺產修復與保護專家委員會」成員。
