Rew 組建了更為主流的流行樂團 Katrina and the Waves。Hitchcock 則以類似的古怪、超現實風格繼續其多產的音樂生涯。1984 年，他與 The Soft Boys 的夥伴 Morris Windsor 和 Andy Metcalfe 組成了 Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians，並在接下來的十年裡進行巡演和錄音。1994 年，為紀念其作品盒裝合輯的發行，他們短暫重組 The Soft Boys，並由 Rew、Jim Melton 和 Seligman 加入，進行了一次英國巡演。2001 年，為慶祝《Underwater Moonlight》發行 20 週年並發行新專輯——2002 年的《Nextdoorland》，他們在 Metcalfe 缺席的情況下再次短暫重聚。他們於 2003 年再度解散。<br />
