其種名「leuckartii」是為了紀念德國動物學家卡爾·喬治·弗里德里希·魯道夫·盧卡特（Karl Georg Friedrich Rudolf Leuckart）。

盧氏異足蜥的前腿非常小，每條前腿有兩根腳趾，每根腳趾上都有一爪。後腿則更小，僅為無爪的殘肢。成體的吻肛長（SVL）約為。

盧氏異足蜥分佈於澳洲的新南威爾斯州和昆士蘭州。
