Sylvester Kyner Jr.（1932年12月17日 – 1981年3月20日），藝名Sonny Red，是一位美國爵士樂中音薩克斯風手、長笛手及作曲家，其音樂風格與硬式咆勃等類型相關聯。

Sonny Red曾與Art Blakey、Curtis Fuller、Paul Quinichette、Donald Byrd、Grant Green、Blue Mitchell、Wynton Kelly、Billy Higgins及Cedar Walton等人合作。

== 生平 ==
1940年代晚期，當時仍是青少年的Sonny Red在底特律開始與Barry Harris進行專業演奏。他與Barry Harris的合作持續到1952年。他接著在1954年與Art Blakey合作，並於1957年與Curtis Fuller共同錄製了三張專輯。

1950年代晚期，Sonny Red憑藉與Art Pepper合作的專輯《Two Altos》首次登上更廣闊的爵士樂舞台。

1961年，他以領銜樂手身份製作了兩張專輯，兩者皆由Riverside Records的子公司Jazzland Recordings發行。在1960年代，他持續錄音，包括1967年與Donald Byrd合作的四張專輯。

然而，到了1970年代，Sonny Red逐漸沉寂。他於1981年3月去世，享年48歲。
