The Mindbenders 是一支來自曼徹斯特的英國節奏樂團。他們最初是 Wayne Fontana 的伴奏樂團，也是 1960 年代中期「英倫入侵」美國排行榜並取得成功的眾多藝人之一，在 1965 年以「The Game of Love」（與 Fontana 合作的冠軍單曲）及 1966 年以「A Groovy Kind of Love」等歌曲取得排行榜上的重大成功。

== 生平 ==
Wayne Fontana 於 1963 年 6 月與 Bob Lang、Ric Rothwell 和 Eric Stewart 共同創立了該樂團。團名的靈感來自 1963 年一部由英國演員 Dirk Bogarde 主演，名為 The Mind Benders 的英國劇情片。在此之前，Fontana 曾有一個名為 Wayne Fontana and the Jets 的樂團（自 1962 年 7 月起）。Wayne Fontana & the Mindbenders 在 1964 年錄製「Um, Um, Um, Um, Um, Um」前發行了數張單曲，這首歌成為他們在英國的首支暢銷單曲，並促成了與 Brenda Lee 的巡迴演出。他們也憑藉 1965 年的「The Game of Love」在美國奪得冠軍（該曲亦在英國單曲榜上排名第二）。樂團的同名專輯在英國排名第 18。

1966 年 7 月 4 日，The Mindbenders 在喬治亞州亞特蘭大展開他們的美國巡演，作為 James Brown 的暖場嘉賓，為 25,000 名爆滿的觀眾演出。這將是他們以 The Mindbenders 的名義（即沒有 Fontana）在美國的唯一一次巡演。Stewart 回憶說，「我們當時的反應還不錯」，但 1966 年 7 月 8 日星期五和 9 日星期六在菲爾莫爾西部禮堂（Fillmore West Auditorium）的後續演出更令人難忘。「液體燈光秀很棒，和我們的表演非常搭，我們的現場表演比唱片裡的要重得多。」

Sorrow》和《Tommy》等專輯的發行早了幾個月。然而，The Mindbenders 發行的《With Woman in Mind》其實沒有貫穿整體的敘事或故事，其「概念」僅僅是關於與女性關係的歌曲。這張專輯收錄了「I Want Her, She Wants Me」（由 The Zombies 的 Rod Argent 創作）、「Ashes to Ashes」以及淫蕩的「Schoolgirl」（由 Graham Gouldman 創作）。專輯銷量不佳，甚至未在美國發行。隨之發行的單曲「We'll Talk About It Tomorrow」（另一首 Bayer/Wine 的作品）也失敗了。

===後續發展===
Stewart 和 Gouldman 後來在 Hotlegs 樂團一同演出，之後組建了 10cc。

Lang 後來加入了另一個搖滾樂團 Racing Cars。然而，Lang 在該樂團的時間不長，也未參與他們的任何錄音。他們有一首熱門單曲「They Shoot Horses, Don't They?」，於 1977 年在英國單曲榜上排名第 14。
